Our Group Philosophy
We believe that emotional hurts are like physical injuries that need special attention in order to heal. Most throw a temporary bandage on their injury and never get the treatment they need. Our goal is teach people how to effectively respond to difficult life experiences using Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In our groups, we monitor emotional intensity, action urges, and skill levels based on the response to distress. We may end up with emotional scars in the end, but scars are a testimony of healing. As we develop into the people God created us to be, others will notice our scars and have hope! (John 20:24-29)
